As someone who has a degree in English Literature, it is no doubt that I have a love of books. While reading did not come naturally to me until high school, I quickly fell in love with stories and beautiful books.
Over the years I have colletect A LOT of cookbooks, someday I will do a cookbook tour on my social media so you can all see the unique ones I have. In my years of collecting, I have come to realize that you will eventually lean towards certain books an away from other. Not because those other ones are bad, they just might not fit your style or have ingredients that are easily accessible to you.
I have compiled my top 10 favorite cookbooks and why I love them and why I think you might to. They are in no particular order, but I hope this inspires you to cook more from books!

Gilmore Girls The Official Coookbook
One of my less practical but more fun cookbooks! I am a huge Gilmore Girls fan and have loved baking through some iconic recipes from Luke's Peach pie to Emily's apple tarts.
One thing I love about this cookbook is the varity of unqiue recipes that I would never make excpect that Lorelai and Rory eat them.
Dessert Course
When I got the notification that this book was in stock at my local bookstore, I bought it within the hour. I love a cookbook that teaches as well as gives great recipes.
The banana bread recipe from Dessert Course will be the only one I make from now on.

Emeril 20-40-60: Fresh Food Fast
Emeril has a special place in my heart as I grew up watching his show on The Food Network. This was a great thrift find and one that I have come to love.
Having a cookbook that categorizes by time is so convenient for making dinners after work.
Sweet Tooth
I have been following Sarah Fennel for years and her cookbook is so authentic and has great tips for beginngers. She is not professionally trained which makes it a great option for beginners!
This is what I call my messiest cookbook because I have used it so much it has cocoa powder stains.

The Instant Pot Bible
One thing you should know about me is that I am a sucker for a gadget. And my family can attest that I use all of my kitchen gadgets.
This is a heafty cookbook anf full of a lot of unique recipes that you would not image being made in an Instant Pot.
Dessert Person
If I had to rank this list, this bookbook might win for #1. There is a reason I chose her recipe for my audition for The Great Canadian Baking Show.
There is a graph at the beginning of this book which show difficult vs time to make. It is a great resource for someone who want's a challenge but doesn't want to take 8 hours to make something.

The Culinart Arts Institute Cookbook
This is my biggest cookbook I own. It has some fun recipes that I may never make (Like lamb in the microwave) but has great fundaments recipes that bakers can add on to.
I would recomend this one for someone who loves varity because with over 4,000 recipes you will never run out.
Mastering The Art of French Cooking
This is a classic for any home chef. Julia Child is so detailed that you will feel confident in the reasoning for every spice you put into a recipe.
While it can be challenging to picture what each dish will look like, you can be assured it will taste great.

Bake
I have watched every season of The Great British Baking Show and of course I had to buy one of Paul's cookbooks.
Bread can be very tricky and I like to use reputable recipes when trying something for the first time. I make his White Sandwich Bread recipe at least once a month.
The Elements of Baking
This was a Christmas gift a few years ago and I spent most of the evening reading it. My Sister-in-law is gluten free and I try to eat dairy free as much as possible.
This book is like a textbook on recipe development and recipe adaptations.

In Conclusion
I love finding recipes from the internet, familly favorites and of course cookbooks. I have learned over the years that by doing some good research and buying a wide variety of books, you can have every recipe you could ever want in just a few books and then you can start creating your own.
These are my top 10 of cookbooks that I own but I have so many other that I love. Feel free to comment with your favorite cookbooks!
